I can’t resist putting a little green in every room. I can, however, resist watering my plants, which (surprise!) leads to their sad death every time. Maybe that’s why I’d been contemplating buying some preserved boxwood for our breakfast room for a while.

Since they’re short, these small topiaries make the perfect centerpiece. (I usually don’t even move them off the table during meal time.)
Don’t mind the balloons. Our birthday celebrations last a looooong time around here :)

Preserved boxwood aren’t necessarily the most inexpensive accessory. Mine were around $50 each. This is normally more than I would spend, but I thankfully had enough referral credit in my Joss & Main account to cover them.

I do think they’re a good investment, though, since they work in all seasons and in so many different places. I’ve been playing around, putting mine in different spots, just to see my options when I get tired of them on our kitchen table.
