If we take fashion cues from our birthstone, why can't we do the same with our home decor? Peridot is August's dedicated birthstone and here are a few ideas for all August babies who want to decorate their home in this wonderful color.
Often confused with emeralds, think of the peridot as the flashy emerald's humble cousin. The peridot is a casual stone--you could slip one on with a pair of jeans just as easily as with a cocktail dress. The laid back feeling of the peridot lends itself to easy going furnishings--nothing fussy, overwrought or heavy.
The range of green hues of the peridot is ideal late summer style. The green of the peridot mimics the many hues of all the leafy plants that reach maturity towards summer's end, so this botanical connection is reflected in the colors and prints of our finds.
