Depending on where you live in the country your winter may be mild. However, for us northerners, we tend to stay indoors as much as possible. If you have a deck, make sure you properly winterize it. No need to clean it when winter hits!

Outdoor Furniture 

Cover your outdoor furniture for the wintertime, or store it in your garage or shed if there's space.

Pool

Drain and forget about your pool this winter season. If you need to, cover it with a pool cover but be wary of heavy snowfall.

Washing Windows

Adding water to frozen windows will only frost them up. Cleaning would be inefficient. Once the snow melts off your windows will be squeaky clean from the outside.

Wooden Floors

Wooden floors are a pain to maintain when mud is tracked through the house. Require your guests to remove their shoes at the door and you won't have to worry about cleaning up the mess tracked in from outside!

Grill

Don't bother cleaning your grill this winter.  It's hard to hear, but the winter months are a time to stash the grill in the garage.  Fortunately it doesn't need much maintenance so give it one good clean at the end of summer and you're good to go.

The birds fly south for the winter, so don't worry about keeping their home clean! That is, unless they're using it as a home to ride out the cold weather.

Outdoor Pond

When the first fall leaves begin to drop, it's essential that you start preparing your pond for the cold months.  Since most small ponds will freeze over the winter, rather than cleaning them, the task at hand is to relocate the plants and animals living inside your pond. Turn off your automatic filters and leave it until it begins to get warm again.
