Check out the oversized white chandelier and the pretty aqua and chartreuse accents throughout the home's dining room, kitchen and sitting area.

Forget watermelon-colored pants and blue blazers. This house is true Nantucket style.
When I was an editor at The Boston Globe Sunday Magazine, photographer Eric Roth (whose work I adore) pitched this house to me. He'd taken some scouting shots.
It was a no-brainer to run. And I'm so excited to see the final shots that I had to show you!
Designed by Boston design star Frank Roop, the house is as pretty as they come -- a collection of serene neutral rooms with bits of beachy colors mixed in. (We all know I'm a sucker for beach houses!) The house appeared in the magazine's June 14 Your Home issue, and one of my former writers Marni Katz of StyleCarrot did a fantastic job of making the house come alive.
Since I pretty much adore any room that Frank Roop designs, I was ultra excited to see that Marni made a list of Frank's DIY tips for getting the home's beach glam look. I'm not kidding when I say that when Frank designs a room, magazine editors scramble to feature it in their pages. Thanks Marni and Frank for some great ideas!
Here are my favorite tips:
-Cover cushions in contrasting fabrics. Don't invest in reupholstering the entire piece of furniture. Make it interesting and choose a different color or print for the cushion.
-Give a table a new top. Why not? It's fun to reinvent an old piece with a fresh slab of stone or glass.
-Trim lampshades with a ribbon. Choose a pretty grosgrain ribbon and use a glue gun to affix to the lower trim of your lampshade. You'll have a luxe look in minutes.
-Decorate with natural objects. If you pass a piece of driftwood with a beautiful silouhette, find a special place for it, or try filling a glass jar or bowl with shells or beach glass.
-Create a gallery wall. Use several mirrors to create a mosaic or arrange a pretty arrangement of plates. Gallery walls are an easy way to add style.
