Kissing: Not the Only Way To Ring In the New Year

It's always hard to believe that the new year is upon us. It's easy to get so wrapped up in the fun and excitement of the holidays and often the importance of New Year's Eve is forgotten.  On December 31, we are forced to look back on our memories from the previous year, and eagerly anticipate a fresh new start in the year to come. With such an important holiday comes a lot of pressure to come up with lavish plans for celebrating, not to mention finding someone to plant the perfect New Year's kiss on.

Traditionally, as the ball drops everyone eagerly counts down from 12 to 0 in unison, and then shares a kiss with someone special. This may be a fun ritual, but kissing isn't the only way to ring in the new year.

The holiday is all about putting the negative aspects of the previous year behind you, and wishing everyone luck, love and fortune for the next year. With this in mind, we're suggesting a few things you can do that are symbolic of embracing new adventures. This New Year's Eve try one of these activities after the clock strikes 12.
