So your kids are, shall we say, curious. Or maybe it's your spouse that can't keep from snooping. It could even be your sister-in-law that absolutely has to know now. Whatever your particular situation, you have to hide the presents you've bought and you have to hide them well. Well, here are some suggestions for keeping your holiday goodies hidden.
First of all, make sure that wherever you stash your gifts, it is safe. Never put them next to (or behind) the water heater or furnace. Nor should you put pressies somewhere that might spur kids into climbing furniture -- or the walls. Above all else, safety should be your primary concern, safety and stealth that is.

Hamper Their Search
If you have a teenager, chances are he's never actually seen the inside of his clothes hamper, now you can take advantage of it. Small gifts can be stashed at the bottom of a clothes hamper without ever being found.

Hiding On the Go
Consider storing gifts in the trunk of your car. This is especially good if you have a car that is only used for commuting and only by you. Be careful, however, if you live in an area where the car or its contents are liable to get stolen.

Off-site Storage
Can you keep your presents at work? If so, this makes it easy for mail-order and online purchases; simply have the items shipped to your office. Failing that, what about a neighbor, friend, or family member?

Back In the Closet
If your gift list includes clothes, why not hang them on a hanger and then put an older coat or jacket over them? This especially works well if you have clothes in bags such as from the dry cleaner. You can also stash small gifts in the pockets of jackets and coats. For slightly larger items, think about your suitcases.

Seasonal Storage
If you're like most people, you have a box or two (or ten) of holiday decorations. Every year you shove the empty boxes back in the attic/garage/closet. Before you do, however, put that empty space to good use. Put the still-empty boxes on top of the treasure-laden ones so that if the kids (or your partner) do think to check, they'll have to go through an empty one or two first.
