Eco-Friendly Gift Wrapping

I have been using recycled bags for about two and a half years now.  I have a pet peeve when the cashier forgets and puts whatever it is I purchase in a plastic bag.  Then, I have to kindly ask them to switch bags and explain that I haven’t come home with a plastic bag in XYZ years.  BUT every once in a while, I’ll get a brown paper bag.  To be exact, I have taken home 3 brown paper bags since February and so, I decided to reuse them for some eco-friendly gift wrapping.

Now, I get that getting your gift in a brown paper bag can be quite boring so I decided to add a punch of fun neon colors from Astrobrights Paper.  By the way, on their Facebook page right now, their tag line says, “May your days be merry and BRIGHT!”  So cute!  I love this paper because it comes in a variety of beautiful, bright, and happy colors in all hues.

Here are the materials I used.  Of course you may have some other ideas too!

  • Brown Grocery Bag
  • Astrobrights Paper
  • Tape
  • Double sided tape
  • Scissors
  • Paper Cutter
  • Circle Craft Punches
