Dreaming Of a White House Christmas

The holidays are all about spending time with family and loved ones. Despite how busy parents can be, 'tis the season of putting work aside to be there when it counts for those special moments that make the season bright. It's no different for the President of the United States.

From the late President Kennedy to President Obama, presidents have been taking time out of their demanding schedule to share times of significance with their family and with other political figures and even the White House staff. During the holidays, the White House transforms into a magical place filled with fantastic parties, beautiful Christmas trees, and lots of smiles. Presidents know there's no better time than the holidays to pause and reflect on how precious their loved ones and those who support them are. Each president has spent Christmas in their own very unique way as the years have gone by.

A White House Christmas is especially a time the First Lady really steps up and does her best to make the season outstanding. From hosting international guests, to decorating the grounds, the First Lady makes everyone really feel at home for the holidays no matter where they spend it. What's most important is that they do it together and treasure that time.
