Drapes on Doors

I have no definite plans yet, but I’ve been seeing (and “pinning”) this look more and more often:

It is important to keep the rest of the design of the entryway minimal when using patterned drapes such as these.

Often times doors to the backyard are also styled similarly with surrounding windows.

Here the windows surround the entire entrance.  The black and white curtains match the decor of the entryway and help control the lighting.

The drapes are of course primarily for functional purposes.  You can draw them back to let in light, or keep them closed for privacy.

And, they can work other places in your home besides the front door!

These drapes frame the entry to a room.  What a great privacy solution for a unique space that doesn't have doors.
