Every eleventh day of November, we celebrate Veteran's Day. It is a day where as a nation we put our political differences aside and honor those who have fought and died for our country while serving in one of the divisions of our armed forces. November 11th marks the day the armistice ending the first World War was signed in. Because of this day's importance worldwide, many other nations also celebrate similar holidays such as Armistice Day or Remembrance Day on the eleventh.
Very commonly in the fashion world, every fall is filled with military inspired apparel. Fashion trends such as military buttoning, strongly emphasized shoulders, and cargo pocketing are customary. Now, we are not suggesting adding over the top camouflage and flags to your rooms for a patriotic feel. Just like in fashion, its all about the details! Use materials like wool and leather when decorating your militaristic room. Create color schemes involving navy, brown, olive green, and camel. Finally, add a touch of design elements like gold stitching, grommets, chevron stripes, and industrial metals. There's a lot of room for creativity, so have fun with it!
