Invitations
Spend some time on these, and be sure to include a lot of glitter and metallic stars. Use your invitations to clue your guests in on exactly what kind of event you'll be throwing. Whether its a party full of champagne and tuxes, or curling up on couches with popcorn, the invitations give them an idea of what to expect.

Metallic Decor
Awards shows are all about glam. Use metallics like gold and silver to decorate your home for the event. This can be as simple as dipping votive candle holders in golden paint, or wrapping gold ribbon around your napkins. Don't forget the most important decor item of all, the red carpet. Cut a long sheet of red fabric from a fabric store and lay it down so that it will lead guests to your doorstep.
