Prince William Puts Royal Baby In the Bushes With 'Africa Themed' Nursery Décor

Prince William’s trying his hand at decorating for his newborn son and he has one theme on the mind: Africa. In an interview with CNN, Prince William revealed that his love for Africa is the inspiration for Prince George’s nursery décor.

During CNN’s one-hour special, “Prince William’s Passion: New Father, New Hope,” the new dad said, “We’ll cover it in, you know, lots of bushes and things like that. [We'll] make him grow up as if he’s in the bush.”

From toy elephants to rhinos, Prince William hopes to pass on his love for Africa to his newborn son starting with his nursery. Africa has been a passion point for Prince William that ties back to his childhood. His fond memories of trips with brother Prince Harry and their parents, Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana. And in October 2010, Prince William and Kate Middleton got engaged in Kenya during a private holiday. These fond memories drive the decorating inspiration for Prince George’s nursery!

Just as Prince Charles instilled a sense of appreciation for Africa in him from a young age, Prince William is introducing his little one to Africa from the very beginning. We can’t wait to see this 'Africa themed' nursery for the royal bundle of joy!
