Loathe Doing Laundry?

Hi lovelies. OK, want to see something not so lovely? My laundry. It’s definitely a regular mess on Mondays (and pretty much every other day of the week) around here. I can’t seem to stay on top of all of the clothes ... washing, folding and putting away. I try not to feel too bad about it because with 4 kids it always going to be a never ending task. But I’m not going to lie, every time I walk back into my laundry room I get a little depressed. I don’t have a fool proof system and to be honest, I kind of don’t want one. Well, I don’t want to do laundry every day is what I don’t want.

I have a few pointers or suggestions that might be helpful if you are looking for some insight yourself:

  • Do a load of laundry everyday (Confession: I don’t do this. I let it pile up really high and then go crazy once a week).
  • Fold clothes immediately in the laundry room (this helps if you tend to let clothes sit in the basket until they are wrinkled).
  • Have a separate laundry basket for each person in your house + after clothes are folded put them in their appropriate basket + have each person put their own laundry away (my friend suggested this + I’m going to give this a try).
  • Keep a hamper for darks and a hamper for lights ... that way your laundry is already sorted + ready to wash.
